Green is considered the color of peace. Spending time in natural green environments or even looking at pictures of green scenery in nature has been linked to stress relief, better impulse control, and focus. When I see green my mind stops thinking. I immediately calm down and start to breathe deeply. As a nature wild child, I love my walks in the forest and I remember with warm feelings a week of hiking on the Canary Island of La Gomera. We put our tent where ever it felt beautiful to stay overnight to awaken to enjoy the mesmerizing morning sun. The weather changed so quickly, yet we felt well cared for and comforted, surrounded by all the greens. I couldn’t get enough of strolling through forests full of bay trees, paths lined with tall ferns, and the fresh smell that it gave. When I sit in nature, I am grounded and trust that everything is fine. Just being here in this present moment is all that matters then. We can bring this feeling to our homes just by adding green. Furniture or art. Or both. You decide.

Designers use up to 300 shades of green in hex codes. That is a wide range in tones where you can choose from for your interior dreams. I think they all mix greatly together. You can mix warmer shades with cooler ones or more direct ones with passive ones. To use plants as an amplifier creates a soothingly fresh and calm atmosphere.
